Event Host: Christopher Vara, MD

Christopher Vara, M.D., is a board-certified pediatric orthopaedic surgeon who has been on staff at Shriners Hospitals for Children® —Twin Cities since 2015. He received a medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, graduating cum laude, and entered orthopaedic residency at Case Western Reserve University. He completed two fellowships: the first in adult spine surgery at New England Baptist Hospital, the second in pediatric orthopaedics at Shriners Hospitals for Children – Salt Lake City. Dr. Vara worked for more than 8 years at Cook Children’s Medical Center in the Dallas-Fort Worth area before coming to Shriners Hospitals for Children — Twin Cities. Dr. Vara's areas of interest include the treatment of cerebral palsy, hip dysplasia, trauma, foot deformities, scoliosis, and lower limb angular deformities.
